1 Purpose and applicable terms
These Payment Portal Terms govern account lookup and payment functions offered through Trident’s secure payment portal. They supplement the Website Terms and Privacy Notice linked in the portal. Your account agreement, a separately agreed settlement and applicable law continue to govern the debt. A payment authorization governs the specific transaction or schedule you approve.
Trident Asset Management, LLC is a debt collector. This is an attempt to collect a debt, and any information obtained will be used for that purpose.
2 Identity and authorized use
Access an account or use a payment method only if you are authorized to do so. We may request information reasonably needed to verify identity, locate an account or protect against unauthorized access. Use the secure portal for sensitive account and payment details.
3 Payment review and authorization
Review the account, payment amount, payment date, payment method and any displayed schedule before submitting a payment. A single-payment authorization applies only to the payment you approve. It does not enroll you in recurring withdrawals.
Recurring electronic withdrawals require a separate authorization identifying the amount or permitted variation, frequency, start date and duration or ending condition. Where required by law, that authorization must be signed or similarly authenticated, and a copy must be provided to you. Visiting the portal or accepting general terms is not a substitute for that authorization.
4 Processing and confirmation
Payment submission, bank processing, settlement and account posting may occur at different times. A submission confirmation does not by itself establish that funds have cleared. Payment crediting and any settlement deadline remain subject to applicable law and the applicable agreement. Retain your confirmation and contact us before resubmitting a payment if its status is uncertain.
A payment is applied in accordance with applicable law, the applicable account or settlement terms and any payment instructions we are legally required to follow. A payment does not by itself establish a new settlement or a release beyond an agreement actually made.
5 Fees
A fee may be charged only if expressly authorized by the agreement creating the debt or otherwise permitted by law. Any applicable fee must be disclosed before you authorize the payment. Accepting these terms does not itself authorize a new collection or convenience fee.
6 Scheduled payments and recurring authorization
To request cancellation of a scheduled payment or revoke authorization for future recurring withdrawals, contact us promptly at 866-695-8893 or clientservices@tridentasset.com. We will act on your request as required by applicable law. A payment already in processing may require a separate correction or refund process.
You may also contact your bank directly about stopping a payment or reporting an error or unauthorized transfer. For covered preauthorized electronic fund transfers, you may stop a scheduled transfer by notifying your bank at least three business days before the transfer date. Your bank may require written confirmation of an oral request. This bank notice period does not replace any separate right to revoke authorization with Trident.
Cancellation of a payment instruction does not itself resolve the debt or change an agreed settlement. Changes to future withdrawals require any notice and authorization required by law; posting revised website terms is not enough.
7 Payment errors overpayments and refunds
A valid payment toward a debt does not create a general right to reverse the payment merely because you change your mind. If you believe a payment was duplicated, made in an incorrect amount, unauthorized, applied incorrectly or resulted in an overpayment, contact us promptly so we can review it.
We will make corrections and issue refunds when required by applicable law or the applicable account or settlement terms. You may contact your bank or payment provider directly. Nothing in these terms limits applicable dispute, error-resolution, stop-payment, unauthorized-transfer or refund rights.
8 Questions disputes and complaints
You may contact us by telephone, email or mail using the details below. Follow the instructions and deadlines in your validation notice or other applicable account notice to exercise rights that require a particular form or timing. These portal terms do not add a payment requirement, a full Social Security number requirement or another condition to exercising a statutory dispute right.
9 Privacy providers and protected rights
The linked Privacy Notice and any applicable account-specific privacy disclosures govern information handling. Review the separate Privacy Choices notice linked from the portal to exercise applicable information-sharing choices. Those choices are separate from payment authorizations. Service providers may support account access, security and payment processing as permitted by law. These terms do not release Trident or its providers from obligations imposed by law or applicable agreements.
The Website Terms govern general website matters, including changes and governing law, subject to the protections stated there. No provision limits any right or remedy that cannot lawfully be waived. There is no liability cap based on the amount paid to use the website and no requirement under these terms to bring all disputes in Georgia.
